I'm sure someone can help me with this. Suddenly, whenever I visit someone's blog and want to follow it, the 'Follow' button has inexplicably vanished from the top of my page. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also, whenever I write a post now with photos, the images get inserted into the text weirdly so that fragments of sentences appear here and there (see my last couple of posts). Why???
The good news is that it isn't just You! I think its going around - there are a few Blogs at the moment where the Followers section has mysteriously vanished.
ReplyDeleteIt's just how some people have their settings and not always something they have consciously done. Mine isn't showing it either for some reason. Most folk have a 'followers' gadget so you can do it that way. Otherwise you can add them manually from the blogger dashboard by pasting the URL of the blog.
ReplyDeleteThe "Follow" button in the top-bar (where the Share, Report and Next Blog buttons are found) disappeared a while back, round about the time they added home-country suffixes on the URLs.
ReplyDeleteNo idea what's going on with the text/pics though.
Text / pics could be a product of using compose vs. html screen when writing posts. If in the html screen, you need to code in line breaks. If in compose, just hit enter, like you would using a word processor.
ReplyDeleteWhen I noticed this myself, I did some digging around and, if I recall, the removal of the Follow button coincides with Google's push of their Google+/Google Friend Connect products.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a browser issue. For myself, if I'm using Internet Explorer the followers don't show up; if I'm using Chrome they do.
ReplyDeleteI use the google friend connect option but not everybody has one!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Glad it isn't just me. I'll try linking to other blogs by cutting and pasting the URL.
