6mm ECW Reinforcements

In the midst of my current obsession with all things Battle Group, I've managed to finish three more regiments of Baccus 6mm Parliamentarian foot for my ECW project.



As a result, I now have a pretty respectable Parliamentarian army, so it's time to start thinking about painting up the Royalists.

6mm ECW Cavalry and Command

My 6mm ECW project continues to make some progress. Today I finished basing five new units of Parliamentarian horse and some command bases. All figures are made by Baccus.

Big Box of Awesome...and Little Men on Horses

This week my much-anticipated Big Box of Awesome arrived from Plastic Soldier Company. This contained the new Battle Group Barbarossa rule book (with an extra copy for Paul to drool over)as well as all the new armour and infantry paint sets from PSC. These are just Vallejo paints in PSC boxes, but with nice little painting guides. PSC ran a tasty pre-order on these, giving a discount as well as throwing in a box of models of your choice and a sprue of relevant infantry for each of the paint sets. Then there were a couple of extra Pz III sprues for pre-ordering Barbarossa, although PSC chucked in a whole box of them as well. Happy Dux.



This week also saw me finish my first batch of 6mm Parliamentarian cavalry, which I'm pretty pleased with, so the army is steadily growing.

More 6mm ECW

The photos aren't great, but here are the next three units of 6mm ECW infantry finished. Figures are from Baccus. I'm getting a bit excited about how they look en masse....

6mm English Civil War

Here's my first effort at painting up a unit of 6mm Baccus figures for the English Civil War. I'm pretty pleased with the result, and they were fun to do! I don't think it will take too long to paint up a couple of armies, with the plan of using them to try out different sets of rules.
